Birthday Week Day #5: Brita Addams Giveaway of Goodness

Well, here we are, the last day of the Amara’s Place Blog Birthday Week.  My goodness, what a week of surprises I’ve had.  I started this week full of cluelessness, and 2 books I had bought to giveaway.  That was my big Happy Birthday to me.  I ended up with 5 days of giveaways totaling 15 books.

Full of wow.

Happy Birthday Week to me.

And happy reading to you.

My final giveaway is another unplanned gift of goodness.  This one was gifted to me by my friend Brita Addams.

I remember when I met Brita, I was on vacation, sitting in front of a fire in my hotel room one night, listening to the ocean and reading a book.  I had every intention of writing some grand review of it when I was through.

That never happened.

When I had finished my book, I closed it, sat there dazed looking around the room, filled with… wow.  I was left a stuttering, speechless mess.  Instead of writing any grand review type thing, I went on Facebook… and wrote that I was totally and completely…

Brainfucked.

Yes, Amara is full of elegance and grace and doesn’t at all talk like a truck driver. ;)

Oh what things that one book description did for this little place of mine.  *laughs*  Who knew.

The book was Test of Faith by Aleksandr Voinov and Raev Gray.  Many people seeing my state of mind, wanted to know what had caused such a thing.  One of them was Brita Addams.

It all went from there.

Test of Faith, Special Forces, crazy uber stalker chick blabbering on endlessly about her favorite author for as long as Brita would listen.  “Gotta read all his books, amazing author, Mmmmm Vadim, blah blah blah” …
another friendship was born.

It’s been quite a ride since then.  Brita has since become someone I hold in high regard, someone I am proud to call my friend.  She emailed me the other day, wishing me happy blog birthday, and yes… turned me into another teary eyed mushy gushy mess.  As if that wasn’t enough, she also offered up this giveaway of sweetness.

For day #5, Brita has thrown in a winner’s choice giveaway.  Any one of her backlist books and signed bookmarks.

Brita, you rock.  Thank you Violet.

So, before the mushy gushy train rolls again, let’s play giveaway.  You know the drill; comment here, include your email, contest closes March 4th, 11:30pm with the others.

Ready, set… go…

Serenity's Dream (The Sapphire Club Series)

When Serenity Damrill is unjustly accused of murder, the only place she can think to hide is with her estranged husband, Lucien, at The Sapphire Club, a place where every sexual fantasy can be fulfilled. Hiding the truth, she returns after a ten year absence, ready to submit completely to her husband.

Lucien, owner of the club, though skeptical of his wife's sudden reappearance in his life, is willing to take her at her word, and he institutes an erotic regimen that Serenity quickly begins to crave. Lucien’s sexual prowess is beyond her wildest dreams and soon they fall into a frenzied, erotic life.

All is going well, until Serenity's accuser spots her at a Cyprian’s Ball.

Since losing his wife, a woman who shared his sexual proclivities, Prentice Hyde has wandered lost, until
Desiree Huntington appears at The Sapphire Club, wishing to engage his services in just the activities he most enjoys. At her seductive request, he paddles her lovely derriere, then takes her to his bed, showing her passion that she has never before experienced.

However, Desiree has a secret. Ten years before, the wicked Prentice Hyde took her virginity, her being one in a long line of faceless young women who were charmed by the handsome and persuasive Marquis of Wycroft. That single act destroyed her life, forcing her into a marriage with a man three times her age. Now, Desiree is bent on revenge.

Will she be able to make the decadent marquis fall in love with her without engaging her own heart? Can she forfeit the sexual awakening he has aroused in her? Will he be able to convince her he has changed and now his fondest desire is for her to join him in Lord Decadent's Obsession?

Phillip Allard, the Duke of Thornhill, is caught in a compromising situation not of his own making, with Lady Felicity Linden. He finds himself honor bound to marry the girl, who is twenty years his junior. Everything tells him this is a course that can only lead to heartache, for Phillip has a secret. Yes, he fancies women, but he also fancies men.

He finds physical fulfillment with Haynes, a man at the Sapphire Club, but it is only for sex. When the liaisons with the man end, Phillip meets the enigmatic and handsome Alexander Chilton, and he discovers he needs this man. His need extends beyond the sex, when he realizes how the man makes him feel.

The problem is, how does he explain this need to Felicity? Will she feel he doesn't want her? His explanation proves quite simple and poignant. Sometimes you might want a cup of chocolate in the morning and sometimes you might want tea. But there are times when you want both.

Will Felicity understand this and can Phillip live with a decision that is anything less than complete acceptance? Is there a place for another person in their marriage?

Love Immortal (Mysterious Moonlight)

Born in 1620, Laurent Kinsdale, an orphan at ten and a vampire at twenty five, goes against all his sire has taught him, when, on an impulse, he turns his lover, Graham Symonds. Graham does not take the turning well, his anger towards the man he's loved for four years knows no bounds. After he commits unconscionable acts directed at destroying Laurent, he disappears for a century and a half.

In 1820, Laurent meets Sebastian FitzHugh. The two men have common sexual interests, each other, despite the fact that Sebastian doesn't know about Laurent's vampirism. Their lives are disrupted by the re-emergence of Graham, who insinuates himself in the middle of their idyll and forces Laurent to make a gut-wrenching decision that could tear his and Sebastian's world apart. Does he care for Sebastian enough to let him go or will he repeat the mistakes of his past?
