The Mah Faves Rock Giveaway: Scorpion and Counterpoint

Happy Friday all.  I hope this day finds you well.  I am just busy as a little blogging bee over here, trying to reorganize some things, get ready for some cool bloggy goodness that'll be coming to my Place. In the midst of doing that, I decided ...I feel like holding an impromptu giveaway. *smiles* I like those. I've decided to call it the "Mah Faves Rock Giveaway". What is that you might ask? Well, I'll tell you.

I have been snoopy dancing like a mad woman lately, what with new fantabulous book releases as well as the exciting new venture my favorite authors, Aleksandr Voinov and Rachel Haimowitz are in together, aka the awesomeness that is Riptide Publishing.  I am still snoopy dancing about that last one actually, albeit a little slower as I have snoopy danced myself silly.  Wore myself right out.

Snoopy dancing is hard work sometimes. Trust me.

Anyway, in and amongst the blogging and the dancing, I got a flash of an idea.  I have a stash of both Voinov and Haimowitz goodies that I've been holding on to for giveaways.  A stash that includes my favorite book from each, as well as some swag.  I've just been waiting for the right time to throw down.  Well, I can't think of a better time than now. Soooo... to show a little love... in honor of my faves, I bring you...

The Amara's Place Mah Faves Rock Giveaway

Here's what it looks like...

From my rockin' fave Aleksandr Voinov I have...

*drum roll*

Blurb:  You learn your wisest lessons from your enemies. Assuming, of course, you survive the encounter.

Kendras is a casualty of war: injured, penniless, and quite possibly the last surviving member of the only family he's ever known-the elite fighting force known as the Scorpions. When a steel-eyed stranger offers him medicine and shelter in exchange for submission and a secret task, Kendras has no choice but to accept. He is a Scorpion; he'll do whatever it takes to survive. But his true goal is to rebuild the Scorpions. Neither Steel's possessive nature nor Kendras's shattered foot can keep him from finding the last of his brothers... or the mysterious leader of the Scorpions, a man who held Kendras's heart long before Steel tried to take it for himself. The goal is simple, the situation anything but. To rescue his leader and escape from Steel for good, Kendras must fight through a morass of politics and intrigue, where enemies are allies and even allies have hidden agendas.

... and one of his awesome wristbands.

I have all kinds of extra Scorpion goodies around the blog too. Kendras interviews and Scorpion excerpts and what not. They're over there on the side bar under the lickableness of a book cover that is... Scorpion.

And.... moving on...

From my rockin' fave Rachel Haimowitz...

Blurb:  It is the twilight of mankind. Depleted by generations of war with a dark race, the human kingdoms and their ancient alliance stand on the brink of extinction. The outlands are soaked with the blood of the fallen. The midlands are rotting with decadence and despair. Elfkind, estranged by past crimes, watches and waits for nature to run its course.

And then the two collide.

Ayden's life has long been guided by two emotions: love for his sister, and hatred of all things human. When he's captured in battle, he must for his sister's sake swallow his pride and endure slavery in the service of a human prince. To his dismay, this close-up view of his enemy is nothing like he expected. Now curiosity and contempt make a battlefield of his soul, even as he struggles to pick up the pieces of his shattered worldview.

Freyrik Farr, Crown Prince of Farr Province, finds his new elven prisoner puzzling. He's always known elves to be beautiful and dangerous, but never has one affected him as deeply as Ayden. Can his life of service to his people leave room for this attraction? Dancing on a dagger's edge between duty and high treason, Freyrik discovers that some choices can change a life, and some an entire world.

Between prejudice, politics, pride, and survival, Ayden and Freyrik must carve a new path, no matter how daunting. For nothing less than the fate of both their peoples rests on the power of their perseverance -- and their love.

(Please note that this book contains explicit sexual content between two males.)

... and some of her wristbands, and smagnets too :D
